This notice covers the public Mili-Maus website and the visit-enquiry form. The family space (app.milimaus.luxxow.com and the Mili-Maus mobile app) has its own privacy notice at www.mili-maus.lu/privacy/.
This notice is available in French, English and Portuguese. If the language versions differ, the French version prevails.
1. Who Is Responsible
Mélanie Afonso, independent homework-support provider (prestataire indépendante d'aide aux devoirs), 1 Rue Joseph Müller, L-3651 Kayl, Luxembourg. Contact: info@mili-maus.lu.
Mélanie is the controller for the personal data described here. The website is operated on her behalf by Luxxow S.à r.l.-S, RCS Luxembourg B311306, 12 rue Treeschheck, 3321 Berchem, Luxembourg (processor), under a data processing agreement.
2. What This Website Does Not Do
This website uses no advertising tools, audience analytics or tracking cookies. It sets no cookies at all. It does not track you across other websites or services.
3. Technical Hosting and Server Logs
The website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd on a server in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). The web server keeps standard technical access logs (IP address, page visited, date, browser type) for security and operational purposes (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest). These logs are retained for no more than 30 days and are not used to identify individual visitors.
4. Visit-Enquiry Form
If you send the visit-enquiry form, we store your name, email address, optional phone number and optional message, your language and the date in the private Mili-Maus management space. We use these details only to respond to your enquiry and arrange a possible first meeting — a step you ask us to take before any homework-support agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) — pre-contractual steps at your request).
We do not sell your details, use them for advertising or share them with third parties other than our hosting provider (Hostinger, Germany).
We keep an enquiry for up to 6 months after it is closed, then delete it — or sooner if you ask. Backups may retain a copy for up to 30 days after deletion.
Please do not include medical or other sensitive information about your child.
5. Email
If you use the email link (info@mili-maus.lu) instead of the form, your message reaches us through your own email provider. Our incoming email is hosted by MXroute on servers in the United States. By emailing us, your message is processed on those servers for the purpose of delivering it to us.
6. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data and receive a copy of it.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your data.
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest (server logs).
- Data portability — receive data you provided in a commonly used format.
To exercise any right, write to info@mili-maus.lu. We will respond within one month.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), 15 Boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux, Luxembourg — www.cnpd.lu.
7. The Family Space
The Mili-Maus family space is a separate private service for registered families. It has its own privacy notice at www.mili-maus.lu/privacy/.
